Erik H. Anderson is a first-generation American and lifelong resident of Ohio with strong Latvian cultural roots. Erik earned a BFA degree from BGSU, has received commercial art training and has been an art educator.
With a renewed interest in his art starting just over a decade ago, he is currently taking commission work for a variety of clients and his work has been featured in several area exhibits as well as solo and group shows. He continues to expand his body of work, focusing on people, buildings, architecture and natural landscapes. He paints en plein air often with his great friends and fellow artists at The Group, based in Marblehead, Ohio. By day Erik is the owner of Erik’s Clothing Culture in Sandusky and has been a haberdasher by trade for more than 35 years.
